Brief Description

This role is going to be responsible for updating applications in the shared environment with new code, troubleshooting issues on applications in Production and other environments, administering the Team Foundation Server environment and performing on call duties as required


Description of Services

The role is a support role and, while focused on assisting clients with moving their applications into the controlled User Acceptance Test and Production Environments, their work is not limited to this specific service. Production Support Services also introduces new services to clients to assist them with their development efforts (Automated Deployments, Automated Server Configuration, etc.) and services to assist with the management of the systems (System Center Operations Manager, Database Access Automation, Configuration Management Database, etc.) 


Mandatory Skills:

  • Must meet or exceed the one of the following:
    • University graduation in computer science or a related discipline and 4-yr related experience; or
    • 2-yr diploma in computer science or a related discipline and 6-yr related experience; or
    • a 1-yr certificate in a related discipline and 7-yr related experience; or
    • a currently active professional certification or accreditation in a related discipline and 7-yr related experience.
  • 6+ years experience working as Technical Integration and Deployment Coordinator in a complex enterprise IT environment
  • 8+ years experience working in an ICT environment.
  • 6+ years experience working in a SQL Server environment
  • 6+ years experience working in an N-tier environment
  • 6+ years experience working in a distributed environment and basic knowledge of networking.

  • 4+ years experience working on enterprise-integrated solutions in an enterprise architecture.
  • 6+ years experience using .NET framework.
  • 4+ years experience working with Web Services.
  • 6+ years experience solving technical problems through intense research.
  • 5+ years experience configuring servers and common Microsoft server components.
  • 1+ year experience with Automated Workflows for Release Management
  • 1+ year experience with the processes and requirements around a Configuration Management Database
  • 1+ year experience with Disaster Recovery tests and processes
  • 6+ years experience using VB.Net
  • 3+ years experience using COM+, COM, DCOM
  • Experience with IAE’s LIFe/LIMS enterprise architecture framework.
  • Experience with government enterprise architecture framework.
  • Canadian education (e.g. certificate, diploma or degree) or foreign credentials certified by Immigration Canada
